Bright Blue Sneakers
Posted in Life on September 12th, 2010 by Dawenster – Be the first to commentI got up extra early today, without help from the sun.
My bedroom window faces an endless ocean; when the blinds are open, nothing stops the crisp golden sun from piercing my eyelids and straight into my dreams.
The Blank Walls
Posted in Life on April 4th, 2010 by Dawenster – Be the first to commentIt’s been a month since I’ve returned from Nicaragua and Costa Rica and I’ve finally gotten around to reflecting on it. Ok, that’s a lie, I’ve been constantly reflecting on it. What I meant was, I have finally organized my thoughts enough that I’m willing to post about it.
To sum it up my experiences, I’ve written a short story. Here’s a written trailer (or whatever the equivalent in short story world is called):
My True Colours
Posted in Life on January 29th, 2010 by Dawenster – Be the first to commentWhat colour is that truck? What colour is my shirt? What colour is [insert random coloured item within sight of the curious protagonist]?
That’s right, welcome to my life.
My name is David, and I am a deuteranope, meaning I am red-green colour blind. Don’t feel sorry for me or be scared if you’re in a car I’m driving – it hardly affects my life, including my ability to tell traffic lights apart (explanation). It’s not that bad.

Snowboarding Pain
Which is safer?
A. Wearing a helmet while snowboarding; or,
B. Not wearing a helmet while snowboarding.
I will argue against the obvious answer of A. And then I will argue why I personally would still do A :)
müB.

Confused? Harry = homeless looking. Hedwig = delivery mechanism.
Today there was a person sitting on the pavement outside my apartment. He was sitting on the street corner, just staring at cars go by. There was slight rain, and cars drove into potholes full of water that splashed precariously close to this man. His hair flowed swiftly with the wind in contrast to his steady gaze… like a lost soul with his thoughts blowing away. It might seem like he’s a homeless man.

Try not. Do.
They say a good start is half the battle. I woke up in the middle of the night today to giant stomach cramps. It was a battle and a half to try to fall back asleep, but I emerged victorious. David one (and a half), stomach zero (interestingly, I’m kind of hungry right now).
